Suffolk County will be spending MILLIONS of tax payer/bus rider dollars on "Transit Oriented Development" so the Bus Riders' union asked "Why are we spending so much money on transit oriented development, if we're not going to have any transit?"
Check out Newsday's coverage of our Press Conference today, where we were joined by Vision Long IslandLong Island Jobs with Justice, Legislator Monica Martinez, Legislator Jay Schneiderman, Legislator Al Krupski, Members of YAI and community as we called for the County to hold the funding for Suffolk County Transit (SCT) and for NYS to finally pay it's fair share! Please be sure to contact Suffolk Presiding Officer Gregory and County Executive and tell them to "Leave our bus alone, County Exec. Steve Bellone!"
Thank you for your continued support!
